Aizawa looked into the classroom and waited for the chatting kids to notice him. No one comments on his presence, so he takes a moment to look over his new class. Most of the students were milling about and gathered into small groups, except for a few sitting near the windows.

A few students are trying to start a conversation with the lavender haired boy with dark circles under his eyes, but he refuses to respond, instead just scrolling through his phone. He looks up for a second and makes eye contact with Shouta and his eyes shine for just a second before he schools his expression back to a neutral one.
The white haired boy has his head down on the desk and appears to be napping, though Shouta suspects he is quietly listening. Sure enough, when Ingenium’s brother(?) alerts the class to his presence, neither boy reacts, although the small white haired kid slowly raises his head from the desk.

As Shouta introduces himself and begins attendance, he makes eye contact with the boy for only a second, but something in his muted green eyes unsettles the older man to his core. He pushes past whatever that was and continues.
“Midoriya Izuku?”
“here”
